Hello! Have you ever seen exression like this: $experience <<= 1;
Does anybody know what does it mean? Could not find it in manual - but may be, I've been looking not hard...
Bitshifting. http://www.php.net/manual/en/language.operators.bitwise.php
Look at the << and >> operators.
Appending the = just makes the operation take effect on the var that you are calling it with.
$a = $a << 2; is the same as $a <<= 2;
Thank you! every day something new in PHP :-)
🙂
FYI: Most operators in PHP can get the '=' appended to them to make them 'instant operators'
