Suppose I have a database with 100 entries.
How can I display only 5 items per page?

use LIMIT at the end of your sql statement
.... LIMIT 0,5 will select the first five records (records 1-5)
.... LIMIT 5,5 will select records 6-10
.... LIMIT 10,5 will select records 11-15
and so on
That's only for MySQL and Postgres. Other databases have other methods.
Indeed - I have a one track mind at the moment...
RecordSet.MaxRecords=5 would work before your select statement for VB/Access wouldn't it ..... but I'll shut up for fear of distracting myself.
