I set a cookie to "never expire". Alright, alright... to expire after a really really long time... (if anyone knows how to set a cookie to really never expire, let me know!)... and that's part of the problem.
Since the cookie still DOES have, in reality, an expiration date, I need to update it periodically I would assume.
What's the best practice for updating the expiry of a cookie? Do you have to kill it and recreate it? And is it standard to do such each time you check it (since you never really know how often, or when next, a user will hit the site)?
Any insight would be appreciated!
