absolute <div's> within relative <div'&gt

I am trying to place an absolute <div> with clipping within a relative <div> that moves with the page as it is resized and the content changes. My attempts work well in Internet explorer, but netscape seems to blow up when it ses a <div> with position:absolute nested within a <div> with position:relative.

any ideas or solutions would be greatly appreciated.

I seem to remember having this problem before. I hate Netscab. Unfortunately, I\'ve redesigned the site that had it.

Without knowing what the exact Netscape behaviour is, I would suggest trying <span> instead of <div> for one or both of the elements.

If that doesn\'t help, let me know.
