Flashing Hyperlink?

Does anyone know how to make a hyperlink blink or flash? Is there anyway to do it in PHP or do you have to use Flash? I have a button on the site "Listen Now" that I would like to have flash constantly. Also, I am still trying to figure out how to use PHP to open a 3rd party application. If anyone has ANY ideas I'd appreciate hearing them. Thanks a lot.

consider using an animated gif89. it'll work on older browsers and you'll just need to create an image and use a <A HREF="to/page.html"><IMG SRC="blinking.gif"></A> tag.

to open a 3rd party application server side look at the php exec() function & backtick operators. if you want to open an application up on the client side using a web browser look at using java, activex, or a natively compiled .exe program that the users download and install.

Why not use something as simple as CSS to solve it with.....like this.

because i think only netscape supports the blink tag. i'm not 100% sure, but thats what happened when i tested it in both netscape and IE.
