PDF reading

Hello All, I have got a strange assignment to read a pdf file from my php code and parse it and store few of the information in my database. Please if anybody knows that how to extract information from pdf HELP ME...

this really is a strange assignment!

can you elaborate more on problem.? i mean what is it taht you have to accomplish? maybe there is a better design alternative..

Thanks for your reply, Well i am getting one .pdf file from my user through document upload on my server now in that pdf i have got data of my all trading agents one page for each agent. Now from this file i would like to cut down each page and extract the date and the agent code and store it into database of oracle. I also want that each page to become one blob object to store in my database.

hello i can help you with storing the pdf page as binary(using longblob/blob) but have no idea as to how to parse its contents, dont think php has a way of doing so 🙁

its better to think of some other way......
