Hey, I've created a php based Instant messaging script that I would like others to check out.
It doesn't have buddy lists, but displays all the people that are currently online and using the script.
It works on ip addresses, so once you pick a name, it should remember you when you come back.

Under FaTaL's IM Script, enter a name and hit Login. If you get any errors, hit the refresh button and paste the error here for me to check out.

You won't be able to test it out if your the only one online, b/c you won't have anyone to message 😛

uh... what about people with non-static ip's?

well, they just have to enter their name again! 😛, and it'll add that ip to the database...
I know ur thinking that doesn't make sense, but the people that connect to my site have either cable or dsl, and have static ip.
But if i did intend to make this IM script widely available, i would code it very differently 🙂

Your script doesn't work in netscape, there is an open <table> at the bottom of the source right before </body>. This alone will keep it from working in NS (or any browser that doesn't deal with open tags).

sorry, it seems to be fixed now 🙂

When I looked at it yesterday at the bottom of the source (view source) it looked like this:

</body>

But today it looks fine. Damn Netscrap.
