the problem is caused here
$conn = ftp_connect("www.deshmail.com");
www.deshmail.com is a web site name
due to this u r not able to fetch the
connection id and if u dont get the
connection id login is not possible.
check out fot the ftpserver name
use in this form:-
$conn=ftp_connect("give here ftp server name");
