Can anyone suggest the best way to solve my problem?
I have a diagram for a car brake part. You can click on the diagram, and it will add a part(ie brake pad) to your shopping cart. However depending on the age of your car, the part(brake pad)may have changed slightly so that ie a 1995 part id = 9, and a 1999 part id = 15.
I was going to get the user to enter their car year and store it as a session variable, but should I use javacript to id the request client side (if so do you know a function) before it is sent, or should I do it server side?
For example: If $year = 1995, then id = 9 Else $year = 1999 then id = 15
