Dear Readers,

I'm learning PHP besides my school and have a problem. can't find it in any of the books I have. So probably one of you guys know!

I would like to use a double quote in a printf syntax but as everyone knows the double quote is the 'serparator' so does anybody know how to do this?

printf ("<INPUT TYPE=text NAME=name VALUE="" SIZE=30>");

I tried to remove the double quotes after values.. It works but If I do not put any value in the box, it puts the SIZE=30 in the field. and doesn't have a size parameter anymore.

So If anybody knows how to do. Please contact me.

or

printf ("<INPUT TYPE=text NAME=name VALUE=' ' SIZE=30>");

typically backslash is the escape char.

printf ("<INPUT TYPE=text NAME=name VALUE=\"\" SIZE=30>");

it'll tell printf when it finds the \" to take out the backslash and move on till it finds a double qoute to terminate the string.

put a forward slash b4 the " like this one
size=/"30/"
