hello,

well i want to pass the path of a HTML link. in return i need to calculate the IP address.

it goes this

$link ="http://www.hotmail.com/klyan/index.html

i need to calculate the IP of hotmail.com

how do i do it.

Well, you'll need a reg expression to get the hostname (hotmail.com), then use the PHP function gethostbyname($hostname) to get the ip address. See:
