Loading A JavaScript

Hey guys. quick question. I have a Java Script code located in my index.php file (the main page) that loads a embedded media player window everytime the page is called. The only problem is that if someone goes to the page and then clicks a to see the schedule for example it reloads the player. Does anyone know how to make it load once and then that's it? Your browser will load the player whenever it's needed. If you need it twice, it will be loaded twice. That's the price you pay for using players and plugins.

I know it will load whenever it is needed, but the problem is everytime a user clicks a link it reloads the entire index.php file and it loads the player again. what I need is a code or function to say if javascript is active, not to reload it or something of that nature.

So you want to reload the page without reloading the page?
The closest you could get is to give the popup-windows the same name all the time. That would still reaload the player (there's nothing you can do about that) but it won't open several windows with the player in it.

PS. How much of a problem is it anyway? it only takes a few seconds to load the player.
