Help with TMySQL

Hi,
Please, someone could help me with
a problem working with TMySQL.

I'm trying to use the component with a
Delphi 5 App, But when I try to make a
conection, it can't do it giving me the
message " X server is not allowed to conect
to this MySQL server".

X server = Is the name of the dinamic address that the ISP asign me.

It is very important for me to solve this issue, because I'm planning to develop a project to use in colleges, so I'd apreciate
any kind of help.

Hi,

I had the same problem some time ago. I think it's a access problem in mysql. You have to insert records into tables db and user in database mysql. try the following: in table user insert a new record like Host=%, User=test and leave the password blank, also give all rights to the other fields. In table db add a new record like Host=%, DB=%, User=test and also all rights to the other fields. Restart the mysql-server. Now you should be able to connect to your Mysql-Server via TmySQL component.
