replaceing words...

i am doing a news script (like newspro but in php) for my site.

and i have a field where i will be putting the template for the news to be posted into.

so my question is how can i go through the field and replace certen words.. for instance say i want the title keyword to be :title:

well i would need to go through and replace every instance of :title: with the var i pull from the database.

any ideas how to do this?

str_replace(":title:", $my_title, $template);

Or something like that. Look up the str_replace() function to get the proper syntax.
