multiple parameters in URL

I'm trying to embed a SWF file in a PHP script but apparently the SWF file is using '&' as parameter separator. Here's the dilemma:

menu.swf...makenavfield4=FAQ&makenavurl4=misc.php?s=$session[sessionhash]&action=faq&makenavfield5=...

In my original template, the URL for the FAQ page would be called as:

misc.php?s=$session[sessionhash]&action=faq

but the SWF file recognizes "&" as separator, ignoring the value "&action=faq".

Have a look at apache mod_rewrite functions maybe?
