passing data from client(Jscript) to ser

im trying to send data from html forms
generated by php to server for the use of
another php file.
1.do i have more than get and post because those methods are limited in capacity and im
talking about big ammount of data.
2.can i use get and post on submiting a form without sending all the data in the form but
data in specific fields.
3. i had alot of problems by editing a url line like xxx.php?$par1=xxx&par2=yyy...
becuase all the special chars i sent (like #,&,||) made big problems for php although i
used \ before them.

hi,

1. What amount of data do you mean ? I know there is a restriction to GET, but POST never had any limitations for me ... If you want to upload files, i guess the max_filesize (php.ini setting) is more a problem for you.
2. No, well you could build a workaround with JS ... on submit of the form, you transfer all the values you want from the form to a "hidden" form and submit it... Just an idea, but what for you collect information you don't use ?!?!?!
3. the "special characters" in a URL are not escaped (like database or php strings), you need to urlencode() the strings.
