GD doesn't work!

Dear Readers,

I can't get GD get to work...
I've got an Debian Linux Server with PHP3 and I installed the module php3-gd. It says it is installed succesfully. but I still get the message call to unsupported function!

So I new that I probably had to call the module. so I tried:
<?php
dl(gd.so);
?>

but now I get the error:
'Unable to load dynamic library'

anybody a suggestion?

I'm better in PHP itself than its configuration, but anyway, I'll give it a shot :o)

-is the module in the right path?
-do you see the GD module in you phpinfo(); ?
-don't you have to do anything in apache..? I don't really know, never been there..

check phpinfo

if u can see GD it is installed, othewise try again

I don't know much about apache configuration but this doesn't seem right :o)

GD is not configured and shown in the phpinfo here.

what kalyan is suggesting is a script, but to use that script, you will probably also have to install the GD module
