HTTP_REFERER

Well,

in my setup of PHP on windows,

the variable $HTTP_REFERER has blank values when i check with IE but works fine with netscape.

any ideas. all my php scripts use the value of referer to login in. thus the system fails with IE

Kalyan, I ran this script in a file called test.php and it worked Netscape and IE. However, Opera 3.62 didn't like it.

Personally, I use 'The Proxomitron' to remove my http_referer so a website can't track it.

I guess what I'm saying is you can't rely on it to be there.
