not-so-easy date prob

Hi folks:

Yet another date problem:

I simply wanted to get the date 7days from '$submitted_on'. '$submitted_on' is a MySQL TIMESTAMP and '604800' is 7days in seconds:

$sevenDays = date("Y-m-d H:i:s",$submitted_on + 604800);

If I echo $sevenDays to the page it gives me the date in 1901!!, and not 7days after whatever '$submitted_on' is....

Can anyone help me out!??

MySQL's timestamp is not the same as a unix timstamp (epoch).

If you need to do date calculations on mysql data, you should do it in the database.
