IE back and forward buttons

hi
in my site i want to allow the site user to use the back back but the page expires. i have looked at headers but can only find methods to prevent caching. anyway to allow the user of the IE back and forward buttons.

try setting the session.cache.limiter to ; in your php.ini file

tried this and it works for forward but not for back

The whole solution should have been obvious to me from the start. The forms I was submitting were using the post method and therefore is not read as part of the head. Using the get method allows you to use the back button BUT this means the information is automatically re-transmitted as part of the head. If your entering information into a database this can lead to duplicate tuples.
