Hi,

i'v seen someone made that in asp but i have no clue how i can do it with php.

User enter data into a database. And then, when they click on the button, it opens excel, with a sheet containing all database data. I know how to create a text file and put database's data in it but how can i open excel with data?

I haven't seen it for excel but you have a couple of choices.

1. Open excel and use macros to populate. Don't have the code but there are lots of examples around for microsoft word. This uses javascript.

2. Write the data to a text file "mydata.csv" and force a download. If the user chooses to open it excel will take over as it is associated with csv files.
