rich text HTML forms w/ javascript: HELP

I am looking to created textareas in my forms that allow users to use rich text in their message. It's very similar to what Hotmail and Yahoo allows their users to do.

It's all javascript and I'm pretty sure all it does is add XML tags to whatever text I have highlighted.

Any help or pointers to a website is much appreciated.

Hi Jason,

You need to mess about with a bit of dynamic html (try dynamicdrive.com). The DOM is a fantastically powerful tool for editing documents "on the fly", using the various methods of DOM you can alter both the text inside tags, the tags themselves and add new tags as you go.
