annoying little prob: textarea submit

i have a texarea and a button by which to submit a query (using php of course) to a db. everything works fine, but if the user presses 'return' from the textarea box it doesnt submit the info. it forces you to tab to the submit button and then press enter. minute but annoying.

anyone know how to equate a return in a textarea to a submit?

I think something like that can be done with JavaScript but I'm not sure PHP can I could be mistaken however. Sorry unfortuantly this is the only answer I can offer
