Hi.
I am extremely new on this PHP language and I found it very interested. I have installed PHP, Apache and MySQL and it seems to work fine, except when I build my first page.
You see, I need a "login" page, and the username and password is stored in a database table and there is no problem there. But the immediate page, after a succesful login, is a typical HTML page. But if someone knew the URL address of this HTML page, that mean the login page is a total waste of time. The only idea I had is to create a cookie, that will only last for 1 minute. And the result-page, it will use the cookie to check for whether is it the right user.
But is there a better way to rectify this problem ? I am sure that all the experts here had faced this before and have a cure for it ? Would you please teach this poor soul ?
