Anybody know what these are for (under I.E.)?
In a message below, there seems to be some indication that unchecking these settings will somehow help with the issue of server file ownership. More specifically, depending upon your webhost and how things are set up, you may not be able to edit your files on your webhost's server. This depends upon how they've installed Apache.
In my case, Apache owns my files. If I create a file via a PHP script, I can read and write (or append) to it. But I cannot edit if offline and FTP it. Any files I FTP CANNOT then be written to on-line. Why? Who knows. The directory permissions are irrelevant at this point, since Apache also owns the directories too.
I never had this problem with my former web host, Verizon. But I do now. If there's something in these HTTP 1.1 settings that will help, I'd sure appreciate knowing about it.
