Connecitng to remote SQL Server

hi guys,

here is the case i have 2 servers running on NT one is primary domain controller and 2nd is the backup domain controller.

i have IIS 4 installed on primary server and my PHP scripts are all installed there, now SQL server 7 is installed on the secondary server, i cannot connect using:

mssql_connect("SVR2","sa","",)

example SVR2 being the secondary server.... but these 2 servers are on one domain.

how to go about this guys, need help badly!!!

should you ping the SVR2 server from console of your iis server?

try to use IP address instead of NetBIOS name - and the server has to bee configured to use with TCP/IP connection instead of netpipes only...
