I am trying to load an image from a webcam and if it doesnt load, i want it to load another, "No picture available" picture!

Here is the code:-

$bd_string .= "<a href=\"nowlive5.php3?id=$user_id\"><img src=\"http://$user_ip/cgi/nph-jpeg.exe?-aw+192+-ah+144+-single+-device+0+-video+0\" alt=image source if no image loaded\">

If no image is loaded, it just displays the text.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

use fopen() function to test if image file has been created, eg

$imagename=($fp=fopen("http://...nph-jpeg.exe?..","r'))?"http://...npg-jpeg?...":"no_image.jpg";
if ($fp) fclose($fp);
echo "<img src=\"$image_name\">";
?>
