Weird Problem....

I keep getting this error:
"Warning: The length of the needle must not be 0 in /home2/optical/public_html/filters.inc on line 17"

It is pointing to this part of my code:

$message = str_replace($swear[$x], str_repeat("*", strlen($swear[$x])), stripslashes($message));

Does anyone know what could be the problem here, and possibly how I could remedy it?

Kris,

This isn't a weird problem at all, really. The error message is telling you that $swear[$x], the "needle" (as in "needle in a haystack" -- yeah, I hate the terminology, too), has length 0. That is to say, it can't search for nothing. So your real problem is that $swear[$x] is not set or is empty. Use if(empty($swear[$x])) to found out.

I've been having the same problem for a while now, I just used the empty function, and I hope it's fixed now!

The strange thing is, on some servers it gives an error, and on others it doesn't ...
