hi all,

i need help with mcrypt ...
what can i do to guarantee that the encoded data is not longer than max_length?
my input data is either a string of max_length or an integer value.
Do i have to pack the encoded data or is there another possibility to guarantee the above mentioned?

I linked against libmcrypt 2.4.15 and used the function mcrypt_generic.
note that the length of the returned string
can in fact be longer then the input, due to the padding of the data.
