Check for links from data

I have a News Table being created. In the Content field, if the client types in the following content in the form:

ex. Blah blah blah, blah blah www.website.com blah blah blah.

This data is of type text(mysql). I would like the script to 'parse' the information and check for a www.something.com and make it an actual link...

Ie. <a href="www.something.com">www.something.com</a>
