including perl script into my php page

Hi everyone,

i have this problem that i was hoping you guys can help me with since this is probably one of the few boards that somebody can get a quick reply.

i am trying to include a perl script into my php page. i have tried to use the PASSTHRU but that works on other perl scripts..not the one i want it to work on. it's weird. i've also tried SYSTEM, EXEC, VIRTUAL and none of them will work. i tried searching through the forum but didn't find anything that could work.

can somebody find sometime to help me out?

passthru ("/cgi-bin/comments/fish/stars2.pl");

that doesn't work. any suggestions? also, does anyone know why passthru works on some perl scripts but not on some?

To answer we'd probably have to know a little bit more of what you mean by "doesn't work" (i.e. no output, wierdly formatted output, error message from server, etc) and also a very condensed-down summary of a working vs the non-working perl script.

sorry about that. if i use passthru i don't get an output.

the script i am trying to pass is from http://bandley3.com (5 star review)

so when i do a passthru for that script, i don't get an output.

when i do a passthru for a small perl script (that pulls the most recent topic from a messageboard) it works.

does that help?

OK, so what kind of headers does a passthrough-able perl script send, vs your non-working one?
