PHP & ImageMagick

I was running some tests on PHP and ImageMagick and found a couple of odd things.

1. exec ("$filepath\convert $filepath\bls.jpg $filepath\dls.png"); creates a file dls.png, but if I change the output filename to tls.png, or tls.gif, or anything beginning with 't', there is no output.

2. Files converted using PHP won't open in my editor (Photoimpact). I get an error message "Unable to open....unknown file format. Files converted straight from the c:\ prompt open fine.

Anyone had a similar experience? Any advice?

exec is interpreting "\t" as the tab character. escape it as '\'
