For-loop?

Another question...

I wan´t to show images stored in a MySQL-database in a table.
Do I have to use a for-loop with an incresing number to let PHP know where to make a new row (<TD>) or is there an easier way to do that?

I think the best way to show rows from a MySQL table is to do one of the following things:

$result = mysql_query($query);

either:

while(list($field1, $field2, $field3) = mysql_fetch_array($result))
{
print "<tr><td>$field1</td><td>$field2</td></tr>\n";
}

or:

while($fields = mysql_fetch_array($result))
{
print "<tr><td>".$fields[0]."</td><td>".$fields[1]."</td></tr>\n";
}

Well...
I think I didn´t explain good enough. I´ll give it another try:

In my database I have stored links to images in a field called images.
After running the PHP-script I wan´t the html-code to look something like this:

<table><tr><td><img src="1.gif"></td><td><img src="2.gif"></td></tr>
<tr><td>... and so on

The way you suggested there will be different fields in the cells. I wan´t it to be the same field...

It´s kind of hard to explain because I´m not that good at english as you probably allreade have noticed ;-)
