Hello,

I am from India. I want to know that is it possible to run query in any other language (like Hindi, etc.) i.e. we can type query in a language and get the desired result from the database.

I don't think so..... as far as I know SQL syntax, like that of almost all programming languages, is written in English only. Kinda sucks if English isn't your first language, but there it is🙂 Your data can be stored in any language you choose, but the query retrieve, insert, or modify the data must be written in English. Sorry 'bout that. HTH.

Sorry 'bout that, mis-interpreted the meaning of your question🙂 I don't see any reason why MySQL (I'm assuming you're using MySQL) shouldn't be able to store text data in Hindi. The only trouble point I can see is possibly in some of the more exotic character accents. I say exotic by comparision to French or German character accents which I'm sure are more common to database designers. That being said, I've stored many of the German accents and all of the French accents in MySQL..... so Hindi should work. Best bet is just to give it a try🙂 HTH.

OK, I will try, but can you suggest me some steps so that i can understand the method of doing the same. (I am using MySQL-PHP & ASP-MS-SQL Server).
