How to Display calender using PHP

i am new to PHP. i want program to display calender for any month. if not specified it should display current month. user should be able to move to other months of any other years.
then the program should be able to add notes or events to a day on the calender.
It should require a password to add items to the calender .

Check in the Code Library! (link at top of page) there are loads of calendars in there that do exactly that.
