PHP to make thumbnail?

Anyone know how to make a thumbnail image from a full image in PHP ?

Did you look at the gd-library functions in the manual?

I did read on some of them on php.net

I do not understand most of them, Im still pretty new to php (about 6weeks now)

Is this out of my league, because I just do not get all of them functions (theres about 50) ...

But I do need to do this, since im running a massive photo gallery and downloading 10 pics per page is really laggy, even tho I have them presized to 100x75, they still download full image so most images are 300x150+ and take along time.

I figure making them into true 100x75 thumbnails or even a bit smaller should definitly increase loading time... im on56k so its important to me
