Hi, in my MySQL database i store a date in YYYY-MM-DD format and would like to run a select statement where it selects all records where this date is within the last week.

Can anyone help?

Are you using a DATE type for the column?

Yes, 0000-00-00 as default

Hi maybe this will help

SELECT * FROM item WHERE itemDate <= now() AND TO_DAYS(NOW()) - TO_DAYS(itemDate) <= 7 ");

Don't you mean

WHERE itemdate >= date_sub(now(), interval 7 day);

There are tons of usefull functions like that, so if you have more 'complex' queries, I suggest you take a few minutes to read the introduction pages of each of mySQL's manual sections. There may be 'smarter' ways of dealing with complex things. 🙂
