Does somebody know how to replace a , for a . The function ereg_replce does not work!

the other way around is possible like this, but i can't seem to make is work the other way
$x=ereg_replace(".",",",$x);

i need to have for people who insert a number like this:
645.678,96
(dutch notation)
So the number has to become:
645678.96

Somebody???

For a simple case like this ('simple' meaning the target to change is a single character, not a group of diverse characters) str_replace() should to everything you need.
