4.06 & fopen()

My hosting company just upgraded to PHP 4.06 and compiled it with cURL support. Yeah. However, my fopen commands are no longer working. What could be the cause for this? I can successfully open local files, but if I want to open a remote file for analysis using

$fp = fopen("http://somedomain.com", "r");

, it won't do it now. Any suggestions? Thanks!

You could just open a socket connection and send the GET command to the server manually.
