Anyone know a tutorial for date/time

I need to change the default MySQL date/time format to a more readable format.

e.g "2001-09-18 00:02:46" to "18th September 2001 at 00:02:46"

I tried to do it in the MySQL query but when I used it to sort the results, it sorted them by "day, month, year" and not "year, month, day".

Any help appreciated,

in MySQL, use UNIX_TIMESTAMP() to convert it to a PHP-friendly Unix timestamp. Then use date() to turn it into a friendly print format.
