Windows IE text area problem

I have this problem where a text area in a form loses data on Windows IE but not on Mac IE, the text is long, but I have noticed that it may be when the text area contains html tags to a great degree, anyone had similar probems?

It is truncated, There is no maxlimit on the field.

Are you sure you haven't got another textarea tag inside it, which in effect ends the data input.

Yeh, it's real weird, i have seen some bug reports on php.net but no-one had any answers, some dude thought it was a problem with pasting text from MS word, but I don't see it, it seems to post a degree of the text and then apply like at the bottom %3 or some other crazy line. Some kind of intereference with PHP buffer it was stated.

I haven't tried using GET instead of POST:

if $message has any qoutes in it, that will end the output for IE. Look at the source and see if the data actually isn't present, or just not being shown in the browser.

What about extended character sets? I know Oracle has a fit over things like trademark symbols if the sets aren't installed on the machine. You could cut and paste some from Word (in the Symbols tool) and see if it works for you. Oracle will not work with the "Section" symbol no matter what I do (the thing that looks like two S's one on top of the other). Just a thought...
