I'm a new commer in this field. my question is very simple.
Suppose we have a website which is hosted somewhere else on a webserver.
how we can access to the database of our site???
Do we need any kind of programming in our script.
Plz do help me & solove my this problem

the connect functions (which, depends on your db type: mysql, postgres, oracle, ...) have an optional hostname parameter where you can specify on which host the db resides that you want to connect to.

furthermore, your web host should be granted access to the db.
