Save a file from an Url to a remote FTP

Hello,
I'm searching for a way to save a file from an url address to a remote fpt.

I've tried to use cURL but my server do not support this package.

There's someone that could help me?

If your PHP is setup to open remote files, you should be able to do something around the lines of:

$fp = fopen("http://www.asdf.com/something.html","r");

and then you can read it like any other file, and also fclose() like any other file.

And PHP has FTP functions, which also need to be enabled server side... Check out your phpinfo() if you want to know if it is enabled or not.

Your infomations were very useful for me..

..but I have another question..

if I open a remote file with fopen(), how can I save this file to a remote ftp??

ps. = I know PHP FTP functions but I don't know how to use this functions to elaborate a remote files...

ps.2 = my server has enableb FTP functions..

Well if I was going to do it...

not tested even one little bit
also assumes you have already established an ftp connection on $ftp_connection
$fp = fopen("http://www.asdf.com/","r");
ftp_fput($ftp_connection,"filename.html",$fp,FTP_ASCII) or die("ERROR");
fclose($fp);

There you have what I would do 😉
