Is this for real ??? Not to be rude, but seriously...

Okay, on the assumption it is I'll take it seriously.

Linux is a free to the public Unix-like operating system originally designed be Linus Torvalds to emulate Minix (another Unix like operating system that had become too easy for him to use at the time, or so the story goes....).

Again I didn't mean to be rude, but check out the Linux Documentation Project website for for info.. also I might recommend doind at least a google search on a topic before posting it on a new group... again not too be rude, just providing some extra useful etiquette oriented information (it is genrally good to attempt to answer a question yourself before calling on the resources of others.) I hope this doesn't rub anyone wrong, take care.
