That's part of the error I'm getting. The whole thing is:
Warning: Cannot send session cookie - headers already sent by (output started at /www/verlynia/school/login.php:2) in /www/verlynia/school/login.php on line 4
and
Warning: Cannot send session cache limiter - headers already sent (output started at /www/verlynia/school/login.php:2) in /www/verlynia/school/login.php on line 4
You can see the errors yourself by going to
http://www.verlynia.com/school/login.php
You can see the code below.
<?
session_start();
if(!$charname){
include("login.htm");
exit;}
if($charname && !$login){
include("regform.htm");
exit;}
include("dbconnect.php");
Some white space deleted for readability. I suspect that the problem is in the php.ini file, and not with my code. However, if more code is needed, I'll be glad to provide it in another post.
If it is the php.ini file- I've been informed by my hosting company (hostway.com, I highly recommend them,) that I can make my own customized php.ini file, they've shown me where to put it and everything. I looked at theirs (or what I think is theirs anyway,) and it's about 1,200 k, and is most certainly not ASCII text. So basically, if it's the php.ini file, and what I just looked at is it, I'm going to need help with that too, if it's not too much to ask.
Thanks in advance for your help. Most of this project is going to be simple once I get the session/cookies thing worked out. My first, and most everything is going smooth as... that one black guy from the '70s movie... what's his name? Shaft, yeah, smooth as him in his stylin' car, bustin' up bad guys and picking up chicks all at once. (Of course, the bad guys will have a fair trial and the women are strong and independent and have fascinating personalities every one of them, you just don't see it on screen. Don't want to ruffle any feathers 😉 I'm rambling, must be time for sleep. Or more Wolfenstein II...
