hello everyone

I cannot find a way to send with mail the contents of a textarea. I tried to find something here in phpbuilder but unfortunately i couldn't.
Is there a way?
I gave a name to the textarea (e.g. text)
and wrote :
mail('email','subject','$text')
but nothing...

Hi george,
I dont think there should not be any problem in sending email thru your method.

Use
$pos=mail($email,$subject,$messagebody);
where
$email is the email address of the recipient;
$subject is the subject of your mail
and $messagebody is what u write in the text area.

if($pos==1) echo " mail has been successfully sent";
else echo "Failure in delivery";

i don't quite undestand how this is possible.
I have tried it but...
Let's say i have a html page with a form that contains a textarea:
<textarea name="paok"></textarea>
now with a form handler script (send.php3)
i am trieng to send the contentens of the textarea
mail('My eMail','The Subject','$paok')
but it isn't working.

Try to have each and everything in a different variable and then use those variables in the mail function without quotes,ok
mail($emailid,$subject,$message);
try it out yaar......its not very difficult....there are so many typical things in PHP....and u cant do such a simple thing...do it soon....

the problem is that u don't quite undertsand me.
i know how to send mail with php.
i have already done it in many sites.
the problem was how to take the contents of a textarea.
anyway i found it.
it was an error i made in the form, cause i wrote it too quickly.( i was in a hurry and i thought i knew it!!!!!)
