backing up folders win2000

Anyone have any idea on how to back up folders with windows 2000. Did some research could find anything too help full, I am off to do some more research.

1. select the folders you want to backup
2. hit CTRL-C
3. go somewhere else on the computer
4. hit CTRL-V
