Write file

I would like to build a page that will place a picture from a users computer in a given directory on my server.
for security reasons I can not use ftp_fget for security reasons.. what I'd like to do is just read the file with fread and then write it on the server with fwrite... but I don't think it is possible to fread from a users computer... is it?

Any sugestions would be Appriciated

no it is not. There is a nice section in the manual called "handling file uploads" that will be a great benefit to you

Hi,

What you can do is upload the file with a html encoded-form and upload it to your temporary dir (specified in your php.ini file) and then copy the file to the desired file in your web-tree using copy(). You can find examples of uploading file on the php-manual (URL;http://www.php.net/manual/en)
