Breaking up a large txt file...

Anyone know of a way to automatically break up a large text file into several smaller text files?

Would need the info in each to correspond to the sorted order of the text file (by ID #)... like, all 100's in a 100.txt file, all 200's in a 200.txt file, etc...

If you use

$array = file($filename);

you get each new line of the file as a a element in a $array from their you can sort using normal array type stuuf.
