Associative arrays...

I am new to PHP so be gentle 😉 I am trying to take a paste from a user like: Turrets 30 Jets 15, etc and place them into an array such as $array["Turrets"] having the array hold just the value.
I am using preg_match_all to strip the data from the paste but can't figure out how to place the values into the arrays. Any ideas? Thanks

try something like

$input_array = split(' ', $input_str);
$array_size = sizeof($input_array);
$assoc_array= array();
for ($i=0; $i<$array_size; $i+=2)
{
$assoc_array[$input_array[$i]] = $input_array[$i+1];
}
?>
